Building Maintenance Mechanic II at MiraCosta Community College Share on X Print Application Deadline Until Filled Date Posted 7/1/2026 Contact Human Resources 760.795.6854 Number of Openings 1 Salary Single Rate 74873 Annually Length of Work Year 12 months Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary MiraCosta College is seeking to fill one regular, full-time, Building Maintenance Mechanic II position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. The individual selected will be assigned to work at any of the four campus locations, including the Oceanside Campus, San Elijo Campus, Community Learning Center, and Technology Career Institute. The normal work schedule will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday

The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation. The first-level interviews with the screening and interview committee will be conducted via Zoom. The second-level interviews will be conducted in person.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite. The District may consider an individual's request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months. Under general supervision, oversee and perform the skilled maintenance and repair of district buildings and facilities; coordinate with service contractors; maintain facilities in a safe and secure condition; maintain district lock and key system; and perform related duties as assigned.

Compensation: Starting at $74,873 per year (range 22, step 1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5.
