Great opportunity with an established, award winning, premier apartment community. We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.


The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibility is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor with all maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and preventive maintenance for the community.

Maintenance Duties:

·    Provides a strong commitment to the service needs of our customers

  • Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Responds to resident/management service requests for occupied apartments as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
  • Utilizes our operating system to complete service requests
  • Reviews daily work order priorities with the Maintenance Supervisor at the beginning and end of each day
  • Assists with preventative maintenance programs
  • Assists with daily care and upkeep of swimming pool in the appropriate months
  • Apartment make-ready which includes: repairs/replacement of light bulbs, globes or fixtures, windows, doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors and closets, faucets, shower heads, tub spouts, ceiling fans, blinds
  • Assists in the repair, replacement, or removal of appliances
  • Assists with maintaining the grounds and common areas of the community
  • Repairs and/or replaces any apartment maintenance requests within scope of management responsibility
  • Assists with ordering supplies and inventory of supplies
  • Responsible for overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops
  • Shares on-call responsibilities with the maintenance team; responds to resident service requests within 24 hours
  • Assists with snow removal of sidewalks
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned by Employer

Certifications:

      HVAC certification preferred /EPA Certification OR willingness to obtain

  • Working knowledge of building maintenance and repairs

Qualifications:

·     High School Diploma

  • Regular attendance (punctual and dependable required)
  • General knowledge/experience with heating and air conditioning (NOT required)
  • Required to provide own (industry specific) hand tools
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current car insurance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and repairs
  • Positive, team oriented attitude

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (work schedules may vary). Some over-time may be required. There are also “on-call” responsibilities.
