Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, proudly serves the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. We specialize in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage. Our team is committed to excellence, safety, and supporting our community.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Assistant will support the Maintenance Lead in managing and maintaining outdoor/indoor spaces and facilities at Stepp's Towing and Heavy Transport. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates looking to gain experience in property and building maintenance. The Maintenance Assistant will help with general labor duties and assist with various maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Lead.


Essential Functions

  • General laborer who can provide hands-on assistance to the Maintenance Lead on assigned projects
  • Assist with minor repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work under supervision
  • Help maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order
  • Support regular inspections and routine maintenance activities
  • Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Have a general working knowledge of tools and their applications

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills


Pay

  • $18 to $20/ hour

Schedule

  • Monday- Friday (Full-Time Schedule)
