Role Description The BIM Technician will support structural engineering projects by creating and maintaining accurate 3D models and construction documentation. This full-time, on-site role is based in Buford, GA and involves daily coordination with engineers and design team members to develop and update Building Information Models. Responsibilities include preparing detailed construction drawings, assisting with revisions, ensuring model integrity and standards compliance, and integrating structural elements with other building services and MEP information. The BIM Technician will help identify and resolve design conflicts, organize project files, and contribute to efficient workflows and clear communication across project teams.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows.
  • Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and Building Services integration.
  • Proficiency in developing and reading Construction Drawings and related documentation.
  • Foundational knowledge of Structural Engineering concepts and structural systems.
  • Experience with industry-standard BIM and CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience in a structural or building design environment is preferred.
