Building Operations Technician
Novi, MI | Full-Time | $20-$25 per Hour
Medical Alternatives, Inc. is adding a Building Operations Technician to support the daily operation of our facilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and has experience handling repairs, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep.
Rather than working on one specialty, you'll be responsible for keeping our buildings safe, functional, and looking their best.

Your Role
As our Building Operations Technician, you'll help ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and operating efficiently by:
  • Inspecting buildings and identifying maintenance needs
  • Completing repairs to walls, doors, ceilings, fixtures, and other building components
  • Performing plumbing and electrical repairs
  • Maintaining HVAC equipment and replacing basic components as needed
  • Installing or repairing flooring and trim
  • Painting, patching drywall, and completing finish work
  • Maintaining outdoor spaces, including lawn care and seasonal property maintenance
  • Responding to maintenance requests from staff
  • Assisting with emergency repairs when necessary
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Flexibility to stay until approximately 5:00 PM when projects require
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability for urgent maintenance issues

  • Commercial or residential building maintenance
  • Electrical troubleshooting

You should also be dependable, organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and comfortable working independently.
