Industrial Construction Technician – Food Facility Build-Outs

Full-Time | First Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

Vault Design Inc. is seeking an Industrial Construction Technician to support turnkey construction projects for industrial food production facilities throughout the United States.

This hands-on position is ideal for candidates with experience in multiple construction trades who enjoy working in a team environment and taking ownership of quality work. The role involves supporting all phases of construction, including demolition, carpentry, concrete, equipment installation, MEP work, refrigeration-related activities, and facility improvements.

This position is based out of our South Elgin, Illinois headquarters and requires short-term travel to project sites throughout the United States.

Trade Experience Required

Qualified candidates should have experience in at least two or more of the following areas:

• Concrete
• Carpentry
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Refrigeration
• Earthwork

Key Responsibilities

• Support construction activities under the direction of project management and site supervision

• Assist with demolition, framing, carpentry, concrete work, equipment installation, and facility improvements

• Support MEP and refrigeration-related construction activities

• Read and work from engineering drawings, architectural drawings, and project specifications

• Maintain accurate project documentation and communication

• Travel to project sites as required

• Support safe, organized, and efficient jobsite operations

• Work collaboratively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and customers

• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Vault Design Inc.

Qualifications

• Experience in self-performed construction work or technical trades

• Experience in at least two construction trade disciplines

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Ability to travel short-term, both in-state and out-of-state
