Overview
National Award-Winning Engineering Firm is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer who is highly motivated, qualified, and client service-orientated Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering. This position will be in the Chicago or Milwaukee office.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee, design, and implement electrical engineering projects
  • Experience in the design of commercial building electrical systems
  • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, principles, concepts, established procedures, and be able to work closely and communicate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors
  • Resolve issues and ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • Responsible for balancing project management and engineering tasks
  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
  • Conducts maintenance and testing on electrical systems
  • Electrical engineering (power, lighting, systems, and low voltage) for the commercial built environment
  • Assisting in the procurement of new work including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • PE license
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and Project Management for commercial building projects
  • Ability to write technical reports and documentation
  • Ability to perform all electrical engineering tasks associated with the projects from proposal, design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimates to client reviews
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment standards is required
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting, and fire alarm systems
  • Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently on project design tasks
