Job description

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Controls and Low Voltage Manager in Honolulu to lead building automation and low-voltage electrical installation across commercial projects.

  • Improve cash flow through tight material management and timely invoicing.
  • Earn the trust of owners, engineers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technicians and electricians on building automation and low-voltage projects.
  • Provide hands-on expertise for controls installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Supervise daily field operations against estimated productivity.
  • Coordinate material needs and timing.
  • Identify change order opportunities and document them with sales.
  • Debug installation issues during static and dynamic startup.
  • Communicate with consulting engineers, owners, and other contractors.
  • Develop team members through goals, training, and reviews.

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on background in building automation controls installation and commissioning.
  • Experience supervising field technicians or electricians.
  • Ability to read plans and manage productivity to an estimate.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Low-voltage electrical licensing.
  • Niagara or similar platform certification.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in Honolulu.
