Janitorial Environmental Svc Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
The Janitorial Environmental Svc Specialist will be responsible for performing custodial, building maintenance, and grounds care. The Janitorial Environmental Svc Specialist plays an integral role in the Agency's objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Reviews and responds to daily Spice Works maintenance tickets
  • Complete minor repairs and preventative maintenance as assigned
  • Assists in monthly and annual building inspection
  • Responsible for quarterly vehicle maintenance
  • Provides assistance as appropriate during emergencies (calls 911, evacuates residents, etc.)
  • Completes janitorial duties as assigned
  • Responds to after hour emergencies when scheduled as the on-call representative
  • Interacting with staff, members, and general public in a professional and courteous manner

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Building maintenance experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to pass BOP background check
  • Valid NYS Driver's License required
  • General knowledge of custodial operations, building & grounds and landscaping maintenance.
  • Ability to conduct general facility maintenance (preventative maintenance and routine general repair)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Duty requirements
  • Requires ability to operate with little direct supervision in the conduct of their duties
