Job description

Now Hiring: Design Build (DB) Foreman

Location: Central Ohio | Full-Time Onsite | Reports to: DB Project Manager

At Hidden Creek, we don't just build landscapes, we build trust, craftsmanship, and teams that take pride in their work. If you're a hands-on leader who thrives on job site ownership, crew development, and delivering high-quality outdoor spaces, this could be the role you've been waiting for.

We're looking for a Design Build Foreman to lead field crews, manage day-to-day job site execution, and ensure our design/build projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Hidden Creek's exacting standards.

About the Role

As a Design Build Foreman, you are a key leader within the Design Build Division and a critical link between the field, the Project Manager, and the client. You'll supervise a crew of 2-4 team members, oversee job site quality and safety, coordinate equipment and materials, and provide daily progress reporting.

This is a working leadership role ideal for someone who leads by example, operates equipment confidently, manages multiple priorities, and takes ownership of job site results. Your work directly impacts client satisfaction, crew development, and overall project success.

During the winter season, this role will also support snow operations by either driving a plow truck or managing a sidewalk crew.

What You'll Do (In case you like bullet points and clarity - we do too!)

Crew Supervision & Job Performance (40%)
Lead, train, and supervise a crew of 2-4 team members to ensure projects are completed within budgeted hours, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Provide daily coaching, performance feedback, and support crew development.

Site Management & Client Experience (35%)
Maintain high standards across all job sites, conduct quality inspections to minimize rework, and communicate professionally with clients regarding progress, expectations, and concerns.

Equipment & Safety Compliance (20%)
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment. Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and all safety regulations while operating equipment such as skid steers, excavators, dingos, and saws.

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities (5%)
Complete daily time tracking, service records, job notes, and equipment inspections. Upload job progress photos and videos into Buildertrend and communicate project needs to the Project Manager 2-4 days in advance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You take pride in leading crews and holding high standards in the field
  • You're comfortable owning job site results from start to finish
  • You lead by example and aren't afraid to jump in when needed
  • You're organized, dependable, and calm under pressure
  • You value safety, quality, and teamwork
  • You communicate clearly with both crews and clients
  • You're motivated by growth - for yourself, your crew, and the company
