Construction Office Engineer

Location: Chandler, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract

PPG Staffing is recruiting a Construction Office Engineer to support a major commercial and advanced manufacturing construction project in Chandler, Arizona.

This is a full-time contract opportunity for a construction professional who wants to build experience supporting a large, complex project environment. The Office Engineer will work closely with project management, field leadership, subcontractors, and other members of the construction team to help coordinate project documentation, schedules, RFIs, submittals, drawings, and day-to-day project activities.

The ideal candidate has a four-year bachelor’s degree and some exposure to commercial, industrial, semiconductor, data center, or other large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers, superintendents, field engineers, and project teams with daily construction activities.
  • Assist with preparation, tracking, and processing of RFIs and submittals.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Help coordinate information between field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and project management.
  • Assist with change orders, procurement documentation, schedules, meeting notes, and project reports.
  • Track project milestones, outstanding items, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination and follow-up.
  • Support quality, safety, schedule, and project-control initiatives.
  • Attend project meetings and assist with documenting action items and follow-up.
  • Utilize construction management software and project documentation systems.
  • Assist the project team with other administrative and technical construction responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Management and Technology, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Construction internship or professional construction experience preferred.
  • Experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Office Engineer, Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction role is a plus.
  • General understanding of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with both office and field construction teams.
  • Experience with software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction/project-management systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Chandler, Arizona.
  • Must be available to work approximately 40–50 hours per week depending on project needs.
