Job description

Scope and Summary of the Position:The Retail Budtender assists customers with transactions and provides cannabis knowledge. Responsibilities include maintaining professional attire, organizing products, keeping the workstation clean, and collaborating with other departments. They handle customer issues, communicate complaints to management, build rapport, and provide feedback. Duties also involve opening/closing the store, stocking shelves, ensuring cleanliness, managing register transactions, and adhering to company policies and regulations.  Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Availability to cover open shifts as needed Provide exceptional customer service Advise customers on products and services Stay informed about cannabis, products, brand standards, and compliance Manage traffic flow, minimize wait times, and boost sales and satisfaction Retrieve requested products Help maintain the retail and guest space Upkeep product displays, retail cases, and vendor displays Re-home "Put Backs" from Budtender stations Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks Work with Inventory and Retail staff to ensure compliance and follow policies Stay updated with staff communications on Slack Meet business goals, deadlines, and performance standards Assist in training new hires  Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDProfessional appearance, attitude, and interpersonal/social skills Exceptional customer service, data entry, and record-keeping skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet applicationsBasic math skills and strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to multitask, maintain teamwork, and resolve conflicts effectivelyA valid State issued Driver's License Must be 21 years of age or olderMust complete the application and Cannabis Commission licensing process in a timely and professional mannerMust successfully pass a background check Must successfully pass a drug test for all substances non-cannabis Technical Skills: Self-motivated with the ability to positively influence others Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and willingness to make timely decisions Professional appearance, attitude, and social skills for building relationships Adaptable, flexible, and non-judgmental in a constantly changing environment Capable of handling stress and high-volume workloads calmly and productively Eager to embrace new challenges for personal and professional growth Attention to detail and results-oriented  Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
