What does the Interim ExecutiveDirector do?

In short, you are the temporary CEO of the assistedliving/memory care community, driving comprehensive business results forward atthat community. This includes ensuring we are caring for each residents the absolutebest we can, ensuring all team members are trained and educated, we are staffedappropriately, a budget is being adhered to, our occupancy is in alignment withcompany goals, and more. In this job, everyday you will...

1. Provide direct and indirect supervision of thecommunity operation along with training, coaching, counseling, and performanceevaluations of all staff members.

2. Ensure that the nursing services provided meetthe needs of the residents in accordance to the developed service plans and theservice plans meet the required state codes and company policies.

3. Ensure that census expectations are met and thatthe resident admission process documentation is completed in a timely mannerand in accordance with established policy and procedure.

4. Oversee the recruitment and retention ofqualified staff throughout the residence, making sure background checks,reference checks and licenses are cleared before the employee is released towork on the floor.

5. Motivate employees through staff appreciation,recognition, and incentive programs. Promotes positive employee relations,addresses concerns timely and resolves grievances as quickly as reasonablypossible.

6. Oversee the community budget, providing guidanceand training to department heads on the maintenance of the overall communitybudget.

7. Monitor operations of the community on regularbasis and prepares quality review audits and monthly variance reports.

Education & Experienceneeded to qualify:

You will need the appropriate certification or license bystate regulations to run an assisted living/memory care/residential carefacility, etc. An Associates Degree and a minimum of two years working ingeriatrics or three years in a management position, with experience with budgeting,staff development, training and scheduling. Additional coursework in managementare an asset. Ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care andemployee management situations. Must be able to perform essential job dutieswith or without reasonable accommodations.
