What You’ll Do

The Senior Manager, Banking & Trust Services (BTS) Third Party Management is responsible for executing and maturing BTS’ Third-Party Vendor Management Digital Asset Program oversight. This first line of defense role monitors contractual commitments, service delivery, risk, service issues, and regulatory compliance while ensuring the framework satisfies business needs, regulatory guidance, and enterprise risk expectations.

This role will build strong partnerships, communicate effectively across functions, and apply project management discipline to strengthen program documentation, process improvement, governance reporting, and regulatory exam preparedness and response.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage Digital Asset Vendor Oversight Program and Documentation
  • Assist in the execution of a Digital Asset Vendor Oversight plan.
  • Capture updates to BTS program processes, methodologies, and guiding principles in program documentation and align information with evolving regulatory guidance.
  • Drive third-party planning, due diligence, risk assessments, negotiations, terminations, and ongoing monitoring activities as outlined in the BTS Outsourcing and Oversight Management Program.
  • Partner with business owners and subject matter experts on issues, escalations, and vendor-related decisions.
  • Assist with new third-party risk assessments and due diligence processes.
  • Support contract proposals, renewals, amendments, and work orders as needed.
Drive Process Improvement and Risk-Based Governance
  • Work with the BTS third-party management team to ensure timely updates to procedures.
  • Execute risk-based engagement and monitoring consistent with third-party outsourcing program expectations and Enterprise Risk Management policies.
  • Develop risk-based processes and methodologies aligned to Banking and Trust Services policy, programs, standards, and expectations.
  • Produce governance and oversight reporting consistent with risk taxonomy, executive needs, and program requirements.
  • Define and implement methods to ensure standard service level objectives are included in third-party agreements.
  • Assess third-party financial and commercial viability and identify associated risks.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and plans to address identified risks or relationship issues.
  • Enhance methodologies for identifying, tracking, and maintaining digital asset third parties supporting BTS.
  • Develop reporting processes to capture news and publicly available alerts from third-party management tools.
  • Contribute to ongoing third-party outsourcing program development to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Build Strong Internal and External Partnerships
  • Partner with Legal, Product Management, Compliance, and CS&Co third-party outsourcing teams to support contract negotiations and ongoing monitoring.
  • Build effective working relationships with inter-affiliate service providers and external third-party account management teams.
  • Participate in meetings with BTS Management for escalated third-party issues.
Represent BTS in Projects, Audits, and Regulatory Exams
  • Participate in, track, and oversee projects that impact third parties.
  • Coordinate meetings between project teams and third parties when needed.
  • Work with Internal Audit for scheduled audits that involve external third-party services.
  • Ensure reports provide the Board, BTS Management, and appropriate committees with information to evaluate risk, compliance, and performance of Digital Asset Third Parties.
  • Support periodic updates to the Board, BTS Management, and appropriate committees on the testing and monitoring program.
  • Assist with federal banking regulatory exams, including preparation and coordination of requested information.

What you have
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience negotiating business-to-business agreements in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrency and the functions of digital assets.
  • Expertise building relationships across multiple departments, including key business stakeholders and attorneys, to negotiate agreements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage competing priorities, and identify and implement solutions to address critical needs.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to research problems, determine root causes, and identify solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creation of executive summaries and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ability to translate business needs into business requirements and implement solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing vendor oversight, third-party risk management, outsourcing, supplier management, or related programs in a regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting internal audits, regulatory examinations, governance reporting, and remediation activities.
  • Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Procurement, Product Management, and business teams.
  • Experience developing program documentation, procedures, reporting, and process improvements for third-party oversight or risk management programs.
  • Experience creating senior leadership, Board, committee, or executive-level reporting related to risk, compliance, vendor performance, or oversight activities.
