Job description

We are seeking an innovative and adaptable SAP BTP Developer to join a client growing IT & Digital engineering team. This role focuses on designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP platforms in a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy SAP integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI/IS)
  • Build integration solutions connecting S/4HANA, ECC, and non-SAP systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Salesforce, Ariba)
  • Develop API-led, file-based, and message-based integrations
  • Create and maintain integration flows using CPI, ALE/IDocs, XML, and related technologies
  • Translate business requirements into technical design documents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, onshore/offshore teams
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and quality assurance processes
  • Support migration initiatives to S/4HANA and cloud-based integrations
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot complex integration issues

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, CPI/IS, PI/PO
  • Hands-on experience with ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, XML, OData, SOAP, REST, flat-file integrations
  • Strong understanding of API design and security (OAuth, SSL, certificates)
  • Experience with Java and Groovy scripting, XML, JSON
  • Experience with error handling (retry mechanisms, exception subprocesses) and monitoring
  • Familiarity with Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP HANA Cloud, and Git
  • Experience working within SDLC and project lifecycle environments
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools like Jira
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and cloud systems (SuccessFactors, EC, ECP, Ariba)
  • Working knowledge of SAP development tools (ABAP, CDS Views, Fiori, UI5, Web Dynpro, NetWeaver services)
