Hiring for a Security Custody Officer Flex - Unarmed

Responsibilities:

The Custody Officer is responsible for the care, custody, safety, security, and supervision of inmates housed within the jail facility. This position requires strong communication, clerical, observation, and decision-making skills while maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Custody Officers must be capable of working independently in a secure correctional environment and performing duties that ensure the safety of inmates, staff, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must successfully complete a Title 15 STC-certified course within the first year of employment in compliance with BSCC requirements.

Must be physically fit and capable of passing all state-required testing and training standards.

Must obtain CPR/AED certification and Food Handler certification upon completion of probation.

Qualifications: (MUST HAVE)

Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state
