The analyst will partner closely with Bank Compliance, Financial Crimes Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, and other stakeholders to ensure Affirm Bank's compliance technology remains reliable, scalable, well-controlled, and audit-ready.

What You'll Do
  • Support the technical design and operation of Affirm Bank's BSA/AML and broader compliance programs.
  • Build and maintain transaction-monitoring rules, customer risk-rating capabilities, EDD workflows, and other compliance controls.
  • Configure and improve case-management systems, operational workflows, investigation tools, and escalation processes.
  • Translate compliance requirements into clear system logic, technical requirements, and operational processes.
  • Conduct testing of rules, workflows, system changes, and automated decisions before and after implementation.
  • Monitor control performance, data quality, system reliability, and operational outcomes.

  • Coordinate technical issues, enhancements, and roadmap priorities across Compliance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, and third-party vendors.
  • Help ensure compliance technology adapts to new products, regulatory expectations, and changes to Affirm Bank's risk profile.
What We Look For
  • 5+ years experience supporting compliance technology, BSA/AML, financial crimes, banking operations, risk systems, or a related function.
  • Understanding of transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, EDD, case management, and compliance-control frameworks.
  • Ability to translate policy or regulatory requirements into practical technical and operational solutions.

  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across Compliance, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of testing, change management, governance, and audit readiness.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting a regulated bank or bank-partnership environment.
  • SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake experience
  • Experience with transaction-monitoring rules, model tuning, system implementation, or control testing.
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML regulations and related regulatory expectations.
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations, internal audits, model validation, or compliance testing.
