Objective of Position

The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Fraud Solutions System Administrator I is responsible for the implementation, administration, optimization, and ongoing support of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud detection, and sanctions screening platforms supporting the Bank's traditional banking and fintech/BaaS programs. The role serves as the primary administrator for the Bank's fintech transaction monitoring platform and leads partner onboarding activities including system configuration, data mapping, testing, user administration, and production deployment of new fintech and sponsorship banking relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of AML, fraud detection, sanctions screenings and watchlist filtering systems, including user access provisioning, role assignments, and basic configuration updates.
  • Support system monitoring activities, including review of alerts, cases, and transactional activity across traditional banking, BaaS, and Sponsorship Banking programs, and elevate as appropriate.
  • Lead AML system onboarding and implementation for new BaaS and Sponsorship Banking partners, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, validation, training, and production readiness.
  • Manage and validate data integrations, file transmissions, Application Programming Interface (API) connections, data mapping configurations, and data quality controls to ensure accurate monitoring and alert generation within AML and fraud platforms.
  • Coordinate with solution providers, implementation partners, fintech organizations, and internal technology teams to facilitate system enhancements, issue resolution, upgrades, and implementation activities.
  • Support system governance and change management processes by documenting system changes, configuration updates, implementation activities, testing results, and production releases.
  • Configure, test, tune, and maintain transaction monitoring rules, fraud detection scenarios, alert workflows, watchlists, user roles, and system parameters in accordance with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Assist with troubleshooting system or data issues, including those impacting partner integrations, and coordinate resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform testing for system upgrades, patches, new products, and partner implementations.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, including procedures, job aids, and controls, with consideration for BaaS and Sponsorship Banking requirements.
  • Assist in generating reports and dashboards to support BSA/AML, sanctions, and fraud monitoring, including reporting specific to BaaS and Sponsorship Banking activity.
  • Support audits and regulatory examinations by providing system data, reports, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced controls across both traditional and partner-related system activities.
  • Perform administrative and support tasks as needed to ensure efficient team operations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, risk management, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or related environment, with experience in Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC regulatory requirements.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation or comparable credential preferred; if not already obtained, expected within a reasonable period based on role requirements and exam availability.
  • Familiarity with one or more BSA/AML transaction monitoring, fraud detection, or sanctions watchlist screening systems.
  • Experience supporting or working with fintech, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or Sponsorship Banking programs, either in a front-line (operations, onboarding, support) or back-end (systems, data, integrations, or risk/compliance) capacity preferred.
  • Experience participating in system implementations, conversions, onboarding projects, or software deployment initiatives preferred.
  • Experience administering platforms such as Verafin, Oscilar, Actimize, or similar AML/fraud monitoring solutions preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning-driven tools, data analytics, or automation technologies supporting fraud detection, AML monitoring, or fintech/BaaS environments preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow within system administration and financial crime compliance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000
