Job description

AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) is IS&T's engine for AI-powered innovation. The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning - including generative AI - along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS&T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple.
The most important story about any Apple application is data. As a software engineer in AiDP data services team, you will work on building database managed services and data streaming platform that power some of Apple's most critical business use cases. You will collaborate with exceptional database engineering teams and internal stakeholders in building these solutions.
Description
We are looking for a passionate software engineer with experience in building data streaming or data centric solutions. We expect the candidate to influence platform tools, APIs and architecture. This role requires strong collaboration with internal teams to deliver a best in class
product in a dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of extensive professional experience with the Go or Java programming language.
3+ years of software development experience
Experience in developing highly optimized SQLs, procedures for distributed data applications.
BS in Computer Science, or similar degree or equivalent industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Works well in dynamic environments, collaborating effectively with many other teams across our organization
Strong programming in Golang, as you'll be working extensively with Go based systems, building both services and client software
Hands-on experience in designing and development of cloud-based applications that include compute services, database services, APIs to design RESTful/gRPC services, ETL, queues and notification services.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization
Knowledge in multi-threading, concurrency and parallelism
Have written or contributed to a batch or realtime processing system
Able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
