What We're Looking For:

The Computer Vision Software Developer I will work on Computer Vision projects turning Zebra's core algorithms from prototypes to high quality product ready code. The developer will design and implement strategies for optimizing computer vision algorithms for different hardware architectures (e.g. x86, GPU, multi-core ARM CPU, AI accelerator) based on performance, power and size constraints. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of turning prototyped computer vision algorithms and deep learning algorithms into high quality product ready code
Learns to design and provide strategies for optimizing computer vision algorithms for different embedded system and mobile devices
Participate and provide input in project code reviews
Receive detailed instructions to routine work, new projects or assignments
Design and/or review architected modules and software systems supporting new technology or improving capability/performance of existing functionality
Take responsibility for communicating with different engineers (embedded systems, backend server, computer vision) to continuously improve and optimize implemented algorithms
Create automated software tests and provide support to trouble shoot software issues when needed
Documentation of software architecture

Job Requirements
Bachelor in Computer Engineering/Computer Science (preferably with specialization in computer vision and machine learning);
Preferred work experience (years): 0-2 years
Basic understanding of computer vision; key areas of interest include at least 1 of the following: object detection, tracking and recognition, multiple view geometry, OCR, anomaly detection, camera calibrations, 3D data processing, segmentation, image recognition
Optimization experience on embedded GPU or AI accelerator platforms: Nvidia, ARM.
Parallelized & vectorized computation.
Optional: Solid GPU programming experience using CUDA or Open CL
Good Modern C++, Python programming skills.

Le/la developpeur ou la developpeuse de logiciels en vision par ordinateur I travaillera sur des projets de vision par ordinateur, transformant les algorithmes fondamentaux de Zebra de l'etat de prototype a du code de haute qualite pret pour la production. Cette personne concevra et mettra en uvre des strategies pour optimiser les algorithmes de vision par ordinateur pour diverses architectures materielles (par exemple, x86, GPU, processeur ARM multi-cur, accelerateur d'IA) en fonction des contraintes de performance, de consommation d'energie et de taille. Taches et responsabilites essentielles :

Concevoir et/ou reviser des modules et des systemes logiciels qui soutiennent les nouvelles technologies ou qui ameliorent la capacite et la performance des fonctionnalites existantes.
Assurer la communication avec les differents ingenieurs (systemes embarques, serveur dorsal, vision par ordinateur) afin d'ameliorer et d'optimiser continuellement les algorithmes mis en uvre.
Creer des tests logiciels automatises et fournir un soutien pour la resolution des problemes logiciels au besoin.
Documenter l'architecture logicielle.
Exigences du poste :
Baccalaureat en genie informatique ou en informatique (de preference avec une specialisation en vision par ordinateur et en apprentissage automatique).
Experience de travail souhaitee : 0 a 2 ans.
Comprehension de base de la vision par ordinateur ; les domaines d'interet cles comprennent au moins l'un des suivants : detection, suivi et reconnaissance d'objets, geometrie multi-vues, ROC (reconnaissance optique de caracteres), detection d'anomalies, etalonnage de cameras, traitement de donnees 3D, segmentation, reconnaissance d'images.
Experience en optimisation sur des plateformes de GPU embarques ou d'accelerateurs d'IA : Nvidia, ARM.
Calcul parallelise et vectorise.
Facultatif : Solide experience en programmation GPU avec CUDA ou OpenCL.
Bonnes competences en programmation C++ moderne et Python.

Pay Range:

$74,160.00 - $111,240.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation:

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
