Job description

The Adjunct Computer Science Teacher is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in computer science at Touro University's Lander College for Men. This includes developing and delivering course syllabi, lectures, and assignments; grading student work; and providing office hours and other support to students. 


  • Develop and deliver course syllabi, lectures, and assignments that are aligned with the department's curriculum and meet the needs of students.
  • Grade student work promptly and provide feedback to help students improve their learning.
  • Meet with students during office hours and other scheduled times to provide support and guidance.
  • Participate in department meetings and faculty development activities.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest developments in computer science and incorporate them into teaching materials.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement new courses and programs.
  • Create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and learning
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Preferable experience teaching computer science courses at the undergraduate level.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be fluent in computer programming
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to teaching excellence.
