Position Description

The Mulesoft Architect/ Salesforce Developer ( Contractor ) will work with our existing internal Mulesoft product management team, AtoZ, Mulesoft Vendor Teams and existing development staff to develop, enhance and streamline our Mulesoft systems. This position works with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment within well-defined parameters. This position is responsible for developing and customizing all technical aspects of Mulesoft and will collaborate with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to determine requirements and translate them into business needs in order to design, configure, test and deploy effective tools within Mulesoft environment. This position supports the Department Of Economic Security (DES) DTS - OSM, A to Z Mulesoft Projects. In Addition will participate in the review of the source code, participate in Agile ceremonies such as: daily scrum meetings, planning, retrospection, etc. Provide input and clarifications to other developers during development of deliverables and when applicable, provide access to appropriate staff to clarify requirements. Skills RequiredTechnical Skills - Strong understanding of the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange. - Ability to lead design sessions and present complex technical concepts clearly. - Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP APIs using RAML or OpenAPI specifications. - Expertise in building Mule flows, Scopes and Error Handling Strategies, Message filters, Validation, Dataweave Transformation, Message Enricher and Flow Controls using Mule 4x. - Strong knowledge of Mulesoft connectors (e.g., Database, Salesforce, FTP, JMS). - Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect for secure integrations. - Strong understanding of integration architecture and patterns (e.g., batch, pub/sub, point-to-point, service orchestration). - Experience with API Gateway configurations and policies (e.g., security, throttling, rate limiting). - Proficiency in using Git, Maven, Azure Devops, or similar CI/CD tools. - Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g. ELK Stack, Mulesoft Monitoring) - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Familiarity with message queues and event streaming (e.g., AMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ). - Knowledge of database systems and SQL. - Knowledge of OOP languages (e.g., Java, C#) Minimum Required: - BS Computer Science or equivalent - Min 8+ years of programming experience, with 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Lead Mulesoft Architect/Developer. - Experience working in an Agile project environment.
