Personal Lines Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for personal lines insurance, responding to clients concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Process policy changes, and additions to meet clients' evolving coverage needs.
  • Assist clients with insurance policy renewals and rewrites. 
  • Obtain quotes and coverage options for new policies and policy amendments based on client's needs. 
  • Review policy with clients. 
  • Handle policy cancellations and reinstatements while following company guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the claims process, liaising with the claims department as needed.
  • Maintain accurate data entry in our management system. 
  • Educate clients on various personal insurance products, coverage options, and risk management strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in personal insurance to enhance knowledge and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Customer Service Representative in a personal lines insurance agency or related industry.
  • Thorough understanding of personal insurance products, including but not limited to auto, home, renters, umbrella, and personal liability insurance.
  • Familiarity with insurance policy terms, coverage types, and industry regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and insurance carriers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address client concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, Applied Epic, and Quote Rush. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • Active 4-40, 20-44, 2-20 License
  • Prior experience (preferred).
