Studio Broadcast Engineer

Location: Princeton, NJ (On Site)

Maslow Media Group is seeking a skilled Studio Broadcast Engineer to support our client, a global pharmaceutical company. What You'll Do

As our Studio Broadcast Engineer, you'll be responsible for the technical preparation, execution, and maintenance of live and recorded productions.

Before the Broadcast

You'll ensure every production is set up for success by:

  • Configuring routing, video switchers, Stream Decks, and production systems for live events.
  • Building and testing SuperSource layouts and production workflows.
  • Performing rehearsal broadcasts and technical quality assurance prior to every event.
  • Configuring production multiview layouts for both on-air talent and the control room.
  • Verifying signal flow, routing, and system readiness across all broadcast components.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues before they impact production.

During Live Productions

You'll help deliver seamless broadcasts by:

  • Operating Live-to-Air (LTA) workflows while managing multiple remote participants.
  • Monitoring live streams to ensure exceptional audio and video quality.
  • Managing audience Q&A workflows and coordinating communication with production teams.
  • Broadcasting events to designated streaming destinations while maintaining backup transmission paths for uninterrupted delivery.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues quickly to minimize disruptions during live productions.

After Every Event

You'll help close productions efficiently by:

  • Generating attendance and engagement reports.
  • Cleaning and organizing production data for internal distribution.
  • Uploading reports and production assets to Microsoft Teams.
  • Assisting with equipment teardown, inventory, and proper storage.
  • Preparing production spaces for upcoming events.

Studio Operations & Equipment Management

In addition to live productions, you'll help keep the studio operating at peak performance by:

  • Creating and distributing broadcast links and production communications.
  • Maintaining production schedules, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Managing equipment inventory, organization, and cable management.
  • Performing routine maintenance, updates, and testing on broadcast hardware, laptops, rack equipment, and production systems.
  • Supporting conference rooms and meeting spaces with pre-event technical checks.
  • Assisting with special corporate events, including audio/video setups in common spaces.
  • Staying current with emerging broadcast technologies, production software, and industry best practices while recommending improvements to workflows and equipment.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,000

At Maslow, we are committed to equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The salary range provided represents the good-faith compensation band we anticipate for this role at the time of posting.

Individual compensation within this range will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors including, but not limited to: relevant education, professional experience, demonstrated competencies, technical expertise, certifications, scope of responsibility, geographic considerations, applicable regulatory requirements, and overall business needs.

We take a holistic approach to compensation, ensuring alignment with both market benchmarks and internal equity.
