Job description

Forget Me Knot Alterations & Design Studio is looking for an experienced seamstress to join our creative team in Charleston, SC.


We are a busy bridal alterations and design studio specializing in bridal gown alterations, customizations, and custom veils. Our work combines technical skill with creativity, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys sewing and takes pride in beautifully executed work.


Professional sewing experience is a must. If you have strong professional sewing and garment-construction skills, we can teach you the specialized techniques of bridal alterations.

What You'll Do


- Perform alterations and sewing on bridal gowns and formalwear

- Work with lace, silk, chiffon, tulle, organza, beading, and specialty fabrics

- Use professional machine-sewing and hand-sewing techniques

- Work on a variety of alterations, garment construction, and customization projects

- Collaborate with other skilled sewing professionals

- Inspect your completed work to ensure beautiful fit and finishing

- Continue developing advanced bridal alteration techniques


Who We're Looking For


You may be a great fit if you have experience in professional sewing, alterations, tailoring, dressmaking, costume construction, garment construction, or bridal/formalwear.
