Job description

Mason Apprentice Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Mason Apprentice to join our team. The Mason Apprentice will assist experienced masons with the construction and repair of brick, stone, concrete, and masonry structures while learning the trade. The successful candidate must be eager to learn, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects safely and on time.


Mason Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction and repair of walls, chimneys, fireplaces, and other brick, stone, and concrete structures
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar and other adhesives
  • Carry, load, and unload bricks, stone, tools, and other construction materials
  • Cut and prepare materials for installation under the direction of experienced masons
  • Operate and maintain hand tools and equipment safely
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Perform other tasks as requested


Mason Apprentice Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required
  • Willingness to learn the masonry trade
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license
