About the Role:
Newtown Fireplace Shop is looking for a skilled and certified professional to join our team as a Certified Chimney Sweep in Newtown, PA. This is a hands-on role where you'll help homeowners stay safe and warm by delivering expert chimney care and fireplace services. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and love working with customers, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough chimney inspections, cleanings, and sweepings in accordance with NFPA 211 standards
  • Diagnose and repair chimney and fireplace issues including masonry, flashing, caps, and liners
  • Install and service chimney liners, dampers, caps, and chase covers
  • Educate homeowners on chimney safety, maintenance, and best practices
  • Document inspection findings and provide detailed service reports and estimates
  • Maintain and operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly
  • Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
Requirements:
  • CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certification required
  • Prior experience in chimney sweeping, masonry, or fireplace services preferred
  • Knowledge of wood-burning, gas, and pellet fireplace systems
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
