Breast Imaging Radiologist
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $450000.00 - $600000.00

Join one of the nation’s premier academic breast imaging programs at University of Utah Health, home to a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This is a dedicated breast imaging opportunity within a highly collaborative academic environment, offering exceptional scheduling flexibility (0.25–1.0 FTE), long-term stability, and meaningful academic engagement.


This role is well suited for breast imagers seeking academic involvement with a focused clinical practice and adaptable scheduling.


Opportunity Highlights

• Fellowship-trained breast imaging role within a leading academic health system

• Flexible FTE options available (0.25–1.0) — ideal for part-time academics, phased retirement, or combined clinical roles. Will consider all part-time or full-time physicians.  

• Dedicated breast-only practice

• Recruiting due to program growth, not turnover

• Competitive academic compensation with optional additional reading income

• Approximately 14% employer retirement contribution

• No call, no overnight or weekend coverage

• For compensation-focused candidates, additional shifts and reading opportunities are available to increase total earnings — significant flexibility to work more if desired


Position Details

• Full spectrum breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography (2D/3D tomosynthesis), breast ultrasound and MRI

• Stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies

• Rotations across screening, diagnostics, biopsies, and MRI

• Fellows assist with MRI and second-opinion interpretations

• Predictable volumes with efficient workflows

• Epic EMR

• Fully integrated multidisciplinary breast teams including surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and genetics

• Faculty appointment available (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience)

• Active teaching environment with fellows and residents

• Structured weekday schedule with no mandatory call
