Job description

AP/CP Surgical Pathologist with Breast & GYN Sign Out – Las Vegas, NV

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (USA). Quest Diagnostics is currently seeking an AP/CP board-certified surgical pathologist with experience signing out breast and GYN cases to join the well-respected collegial team of 17 pathologists covering 4 hospitals and a central laboratory in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. This dynamic pathology group includes 3 hematopathologists, 2 cytopathologists, and 4 dermatopathologists, as well as subspecialty trained GI and Head and Neck surgical pathologists.

This key position includes rotation between the Burnham lab and hospital settings. Frozen sections and rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE) should be expected. The mix of inpatient and outpatient pathology cases include breast, GYN, GU, and GI, as well as cytology (body fluids, urine, GI brushings, pap smears, etc). Recently trained and experienced pathologists will be considered.

Responsibilities

Experience:

  • Pathologists with 1 to 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations.
  • Ability to communicate with high level decision makers in the organization.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree required
  • Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and current unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Nevada or eligibility for licensure
