Position Summary
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Burleson/Ft Worth is seeking a friendly and dependable Breakfast Attendant to prepare and maintain our complimentary breakfast service.
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing breakfast items, keeping the buffet stocked, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area, and providing attentive service to our guests.
This position requires early-morning availability, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to keep food and supplies replenished throughout the entire breakfast period.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time and prepare the breakfast area before service begins.
  • Prepare and display breakfast items according to hotel and brand standards.
  • Continuously monitor the breakfast buffet and refill food, beverages, utensils, and supplies before they run out.
  • Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food-safety procedures.
  • Keep serving counters, tables, chairs, floors, and food-preparation areas clean and sanitized.
  • Remove expired or unusable food and properly rotate inventory.
  • Monitor breakfast inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
  • Wash dishes, serving utensils, pans, and breakfast equipment.
  • Break down, clean, and restock the breakfast area after service.
  • Remove trash and maintain organized storage areas.
  • Assist guests with questions or special requests when possible.
  • Complete required cleaning and temperature documentation.
  • Follow hotel, health-department, and food-handling procedures.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by hotel management.
Qualifications
  • Previous food-service, restaurant, breakfast, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
  • Friendly and professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and food presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision.
  • Ability to recognize when food or supplies need to be replenished.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must be available to begin work early in the morning.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Food-handler certification may be required based on applicable regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry food, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work around hot food, warming equipment, and cleaning products.
