The Breakfast Club Job Post

At The Breakfast Club, we are an influencer café where vloggers and social media stars come to socialize. Located right in the heart of Hollywood at 1600 Vine, The Breakfast Club will be at the forefront of influencer culture. The 7500 square foot restaurant will feature a fast casual breakfast restaurant, seating plan that can be booked in advance, and a small film studio for verified creators to use. Open daily from early morning until late-night, The Breakfast Club will be top of the list of places to visit for tourists experiencing Hollywood as well as a beacon for locals looking for a late-night bite, a leisurely brunch or a creative and vibrant spot to enjoy a meal and keep connected to their favorite social media platforms. Lastly, the menu, created by iconic chef and restaurateur Jason Neroni of Rose Café fame, and the cocktail menu crafted by the acclaimed mixologist from Bar Lab, elevate the entire restaurant experience.

Position Summary

The Order Taker/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent guest service by greeting each guest with a friendly, welcoming appropriate greeting such as: "Welcome to The Breakfast Club, what would you like today?", ensuring that all entrée items are entered into the POS accurately and that payments are processed accurately, up-selling sides, desserts and drinks, and engage guests in topics regarding the company's loyalty program and inviting guests to provide their feedback using the company's online survey.

Essential Functions

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Answers the telephone within 3 rings and with a smile in his/her voice
  • Takes the guest's order and handles cash and credit transaction accurately
  • General math skills
  • Maintain proper cash handling procedures as defined by the company
  • Maintain all cash handling documentation for their drawer
  • Enters order accurately into the POS system
  • Handles guest problems efficiently and in a friendly manner
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the brand and menu items
  • Suggestively sells additional menu items
  • Greets guests when they are entering and leaving to make them feel comfortable and welcome
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and ensures proper set up and/or breakdown of the entire restaurant including dining room, kitchen, prep areas and restrooms.
  • Assists with stocking, cleaning and maintenance duties as needed
