Deliver Driver - Box Truck/Route Sales Representative

You will be delivering New England's favorite bulky rolls and other bread products to retail, restaurant, and institutional channel business on a pre-determined established route! We currently have openings in our Wallingford distribution depot for box truck drivers. Must be friendly and have good attention to detail. The chosen candidate will be responsible to ensure customers are receiving orders on time and in the quantities they have ordered. Calise will depend on you to successfully manage time-sensitive deliveries and assure fresh product conditions in retail outlets. This is a full-time, base plus commission position with Sundays and most Wednesdays off. Previous experience preferred, but not required. No CDL required. Excellent benefits including vacation (PTO) and holiday pay. Free package of bread each day too!

Requirements

  • Execute established Company safety, sales, and marketing strategies
  • Operate Company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
  • Responsible for reporting to work on time to met the needs of the business. Early mornings required.
  • Maintain close working relationship and communication with Depot Manager and Supervisors and customers
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of product received and sold and revenues generated or received
  • Responsible for participating in all activities set out by the company in support of the Food Safety Modernization Act
  • Everyone has responsibility to support and follow our Food Safety and Food Defense programs
  • Physical capabilities - must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including lifting (min 25 lbs)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum 1 year of DSD service or sales experience
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pass drug test
  • Have the ability to climb repeatedly, stand, and sit for long periods of time
  • Reach overhead on a regular basis
  • Obtain a DOT medical card
