Artisan Bread Polyline Operator
Are you passionate about baking? Join Dorothy Lane Market’s Bakehouse and become part of a team dedicated to creating exceptional, high-quality artisan breads and baked goods from scratch. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Production Team Member to join our fast-paced Bakehouse. Our artisan breads are truly something special, made using old-world methods, natural fermentation, and time-honored techniques. Our bakers use their knowledge, senses, and instincts to craft each product with care and consistency.
As an Artisan Bread Polyline Operator, you will be responsible for operating and assisting with the artisan bread production line while ensuring products meet our quality and production standards. This position involves hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and requires attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork. Whether you have professional baking experience or are looking to develop your culinary skills, we are willing to train the right person and provide opportunities to learn and grow within our Bakehouse. Schedule: 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with three days off per week
Key responsibilities:
- Operating the artisan bread polyline and assisting with daily production
- Bagel production
- Laminating croissants and puff pastry
- Following recipes, procedures, and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Working efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals
- Monitoring products throughout the production process to ensure quality and consistency
- A desire to make folks happy by providing Honestly Better® Food and Service.
- Food safety expertise.
- A willingness to learn about and taste great food.
- A willingness to practice the DLM Team Values: Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working
- Punctuality is a must.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- 18 years or older is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have holiday and weekend availability.
