Who You Are:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Maintenance Technician. This person will have a genuine interest in working with older adults and be able to engage, motivate, and support both residents and fellow team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and aligned with our values of respect, excellence, and community. Essential Functions:
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and operation manuals; performs maintenance repairs such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance checks throughout the facility which may include assisting inspectors and contractors in the testing, inspection or repair of equipment, building/mechanical systems and structure; responds to all emergencies such as: fire, smoke, panic, alarms.
  • Completes work orders and special projects in a timely manner; keeps maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly; maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Is on call for all disaster emergencies such as: snow, ice storms, fire, tornados and floods; is placed on a weekly on call schedule.
  • Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.
  • Employee will be in the "On Call" cycle.

  1. Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.
  2. High School education or GED required; graduate of accredited technical school preferred, but not required.
  3. Position requires a minimum of one to three years of hands-on maintenance and/or mechanical experience.
  4. Position requires a valid driver's license.
  5. Position may require certifications or licenses, as determined by local authority.
