Job Description

This role is responsible for building and preparing specialized systems that power aircraft equipment on the ground. You will assemble, braze, and test pre-conditioned air (PCA) systems by following detailed engineering drawings and procedures, ensuring high-quality and reliable performance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble piping, mechanical parts, and electrical components for PCA systems by following engineering drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.
• Perform brazing and plumbing tasks to connect HVAC systems and copper assemblies according to specifications and safety standards.
• Set up equipment and perform testing and troubleshooting on assembled systems to verify proper operation.
• Verify the quality of completed work using schematics, procedures, and measurement tools, and make corrections as needed.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to complete daily production tasks safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to a safe, efficient production environment.

Essential Skills

• 6 months or more of relevant experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related production work
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and detailed instructions.
• Capability to perform brazing tasks or willingness to complete company-provided brazing certification training.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with basic measurement tools and the ability to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with HVAC systems, copper assemblies, or plumbing connections.
• Experience in mechanical repair, production, or manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to electrical assembly or wiring tasks.
• Comfort working from schematics and technical documentation.
• Willingness to participate in structured training programs, including brazing and welding training.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand new, climate-controlled facility designed for comfort and efficiency. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a consistent daytime shift. The environment is hands-on and production-focused, using basic hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to assemble and test mechanical, electrical, and HVAC components. Safety, cleanliness, and organization are prioritized throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, TN.

The pay range for this position is $22.92 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
