About This Opportunity:

Our pork processing plant in Brandon is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and energetic individual to join Canada Packers Maintenance Team. Get a fresh start with Canada Packers Brandon.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair:

1. Electrical equipment (AC Drives, power controls circuits, starters, MCCs). 

2. Microprocessor based systems (PLCs, DCS, Electronic circuits, controls).

3. Low and medium voltage distribution systems (single and three phase systems).

4. Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals).

5. Power distribution and generation (generators, transformers, switchgears, breakers).

6. Communication and Data Systems (closed circuit TV, timekeeping, phone/computer, Network).

7. HVAC, emergency systems (boilers, refrigeration, air compressors, energy control, alarm) Scales calibrations, Metal detector calibrations, Xray calibrations.

• Conduct Planned Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and keep maintenance records.

• Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs.

• Assist in planning, and organization of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation).

Skills & Experience:

• 447 A- Instrumentation and Control Technician Certificate required

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a highly automated industrial manufacturing environment. 

• Strong electrical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics experience required. 

• Medium Voltage, Weigh Scales, Vision Systems, HMI, Siemens S5/S7, Allen Bradley SLC5 PLC, VFD, Servomotors, Profibus / Ethernet Network Communications experience essential.

• Strong decision making, problem solving troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and in a multifunctional team with minimum supervision.

• Environmental work conditions can range from a cool environment, to one that is hot and wet.

• Will be required to work outdoors in all seasons.
