Job description

What You'll Do:

  • Help develop and deliver hands-on and classroom HVAC training.
  • Train in branded HVAC equipment.
  • Train contractors on installation, troubleshooting, controls, and system operation
  • Conduct in-branch, on-site, and virtual training sessions on branded equipment.
  • Create training materials, presentations.
  • Build live training units for hands on training.
  • Provide Technical support to contractors over phone and on site when needed.
  • Support technical team with product knowledge and application expertise.
  • Partner with manufacturers to stay current on new equipment and technologies (overnight travel may be required)
  • Assist in troubleshooting advanced technical issues when needed.
  • Promote training programs to customers and help grow attendance.
  • Visit different branches to assist with unit repairs as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of HVAC field experience with technical training.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to teach technical concepts clearly to different skill levels.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups and leading hands-on labs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPA Section 608 Certification
  • Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience
  • Experience with inverter technology, controls, and high-efficiency equipment
  • Proficient with basic computer tools (PowerPoint, training platforms, etc.)

Work Environment

  • Combination of classroom, training lab, branch locations, and field visits
  • Frequent interaction with contractors, technicians, and internal teams
  • Regional travel between NC & VA J-Team locations (often 75%)
