Job description

Who We Are

Tonal is the smartest home gym and personal trainer. It has completely revolutionized the way people work out at home, with its sleek design and advanced A.I. technology. We’ve united a diverse team of experts and decades of research to reinvent strength training, making it more efficient, more effective and more engaging.

With this in mind, we want to bring that same innovative approach to the workplace. At Tonal, we continue our shift of emphasis by growing our instrumental team. We collectively weave our knowledge and creativity, as we redefine the future of fitness. We are passionate about building products that transform lives, and building teams that transform the status quo. Together, we can be our strongest.

Overview

Tonal is seeking a talented and versatile Brand Content Producer to create compelling visual content across our marketing ecosystem. The ideal candidate is an exceptional photographer, videographer and visual editor who brings a strong creative point of view and can translate brand strategy into visuals that stop people mid-scroll — and hold up just as well in a campaign, email, or retail environment. This role sits at the intersection of production craft and brand storytelling, creating original content that builds equity for Tonal across every channel it lives in.

What You Will Do
  • Shoot and produce photo and video content for use across web, retail, organic social, paid media, email, events, and out-of-home
  • Work with Brand team to concept and execute original visual stories that bring the Tonal brand to life across formats and audiences
  • Get inputs from channel leads and campaign leads to translate briefs into hero and supporting visual assets while ensuring content is optimized for each channel without losing visual integrity
  • Be involved in the full production process end-to-end, from pre-production planning and shot lists through capture, editing, and final delivery
  • Partner closely with Tonal's studio production team to identify opportunities to capture brand and marketing content alongside existing fitness content shoots — maximizing time on set
  • Cultivate meaningful connections and trust with on-camera talent to ensure every capture feels genuine and authentic
  • Stay current with visual trends across fitness, wellness, and lifestyle
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of professional photography and videography experience, ideally for consumer brands
  • A portfolio that demonstrates range — lifestyle, social, product, and motion — with a clear and confident visual point of view
  • Strong post-production skills across photo and video editing (Adobe Creative Suite; Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva, Capcut)
  • Experience shooting for multiple end uses with an understanding of how format and context shape creative decisions
  • Ability to work independently on shoots, including self-directed lighting, sound, and direction of talent when needed
  • Collaborative, with a clear process for taking and giving creative feedback and iterating efficiently
  • Strong communicator who can build trust with producers, directors, and crew and integrate seamlessly into an established team culture
  • Knowledge of AI creative tools a plus
  • Passion for fitness, health, or wellness preferred
  • Willing to come in to our New York studio to shoot with talent, and willing to travel for shoots when needed

At Tonal, we believe that the unique and varied lived experiences of our teammates contribute to our overall strength. We don’t just appreciate differences, we celebrate them, and we always seek people that represent a wide variety of backgrounds. We’re dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team and designing employee experiences that contribute to your growth as much as you do to ours. If your experience aligns with what we’re looking for (even if you don’t check every single box), send us your application. We would love to hear from you!

Tonal is committed to meeting the diverse needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner that is consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, integration, and equality of opportunity. Should you have any accommodation requests, please reach out to us via our confidential email, accessibility@tonal.com. All requests will be addressed and responded to in accordance with Tonal’s Accessibility Policy and local legislation.
