What is a brand content creator?

Brand Content Creators are professionals who develop, design, and produce content that represents and promotes a brand across different platforms. They create a variety of content types, such as social media posts, blog articles, videos, and graphics, tailored to the brand’s target audience and marketing goals. Their main objective is to build brand awareness, engage audiences, and help drive business growth through compelling storytelling and visual communication. Brand Content Creators often collaborate closely with marketing, design, and communications teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness in messaging.

How does a brand content creator typically collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive messaging?

Brand Content Creators frequently work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to align content with broader company goals and campaigns. Collaboration often involves participating in brainstorming sessions, sharing editorial calendars, and adapting messaging based on feedback from stakeholders. This teamwork ensures that all content supports the brand's voice and objectives, while also addressing the needs of various channels such as social media, blogs, and email. Regular communication and project management tools are key to keeping everyone on the same page.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a brand content creator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Brand Content Creator, you need strong writing, storytelling, and visual content skills, often supported by a degree in marketing, communications, or related fields. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, and SEO best practices is typically required. Creativity, adaptability, and strong collaboration skills help individuals stand out in this role. These abilities are essential for producing engaging content that connects with target audiences and effectively communicates a brand's message.

Job description

G.L. Hunt Foundation Repair and Service Squad Plumbing are looking for a Brand Content Creator to be the storyteller behind our two family-owned brands here in Fort Worth. We're not a big corporate shop — we're a close-knit team of real crews, real Project Managers, and real office folks who take pride in helping Texas homeowners with foundation repair and plumbing, and we want someone who can capture that authenticity on camera and share it with the world.

This is a full-time, on-site role based out of our Fort Worth office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Most weeks you'll be out at active job sites around DFW, and occasionally in San Antonio, Waco, or Austin — all travel expenses covered.

What you'll do:

- Film, edit, and schedule 10-15 pieces of content a week (2-4 static, 6-10 video) across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts

- Visit active job sites, coordinate with our Project Managers ahead of time, get homeowners comfortable on camera with signed releases, and capture before/during/after footage, crews at work, close-ups, timelapses, and genuine customer reactions

- Own our weekly franchises: Monday Blueprint, Talking Tuesday, Ask Ashley, Fun Tip Friday/Flushing Friday, plus our weekly 5-star review posts

- Brainstorm and script creative concepts — skits, trends, educational explainers, and content for realtors and homebuyers

- Manage comments, DMs, and social inboxes for both brands, routing real leads to the office the same day

- Keep our shared footage library organized with consistent naming and tagging

- Review performance weekly and shift our content mix toward what's working

Who we're looking for:

- An early-career content creator with real experience making content for an organization or brand, not just a personal account

- Someone comfortable on camera, and even better at putting other people at ease in front of one

- Someone who's grown an audience somewhere before and can talk us through how

- A fast, pragmatic editor in CapCut, Canva, or Adobe who ships daily

- Organized and self-directed, data-aware without needing to be a data analyst

- Comfortable using AI tools daily for scripts, captions, and ideas — without ever letting the output feel like AI

- Nice to have: Meta Blueprint or TikTok creative certification, Adobe Premiere experience, or Spanish fluency

Compensation and benefits: $50,000-$60,000 per year, salaried, with health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and supplemental Aflac plans (dental, vision, long-term disability, and more). Start date is October 15th. A background check is required.

To apply, please send your resume along with links to 3 pieces of content you personally made (any platform), at least one shot and edited by you on a phone, and one sentence about the numbers behind your best-performing piece.
