Position Summary:
The Assembler Handles/Molding is responsible for visually inspecting and assembling machined components. This effort includes, but is not limited to, the use of various tooling is required to remove loose or fixed burrs, cleaning of sharp edges, and polishing and blending machined surfaces of the molded handles. This individual works with other assemblers and to ensure all products are assembled to company standards.
Essential Functions:
  • Visual inspection of machined components.
  • Measures and inspects medical device products in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
  • Assembles sub-components into finished assemblies following established procedures.
  • Utilizes hand tools including but not limited to deburring knives, files, and pneumatic tools to remove burrs and assemble parts.
  • Visual inspections utilizing illumination devices & microscope to view internal areas of components to ensure they are adequately deburred.
  • Escalates problems/issues to the Handles/Molding Supervisor.
  • Accurately completes all quality documentation and inspection sheets.
  • Embraces 5S, Lean Management, GMP's and company directives each day.
  • Follows all verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Able to perform visual inspection with the use of a microscope on small parts; strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; well organized and possesses the ability to multi-task
  • Team player, open to new ideas and team work, self-motivated individual, willingness to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
