Job description

POSITION: Transporter 
HOURS:  4:30 PM - 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with availability to work Fridays and overtime.
COMPENSATION: $20.59 Hourly 
REPORTS TO:  Production Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT: Full-time

JOB SUMMARY: Delivers supplies to production areas, palletizes product, and delivers finished product to freezers.

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Supply necessary materials to production areas, supporting daily production operations.
  • Operating powered industrial vehicle to assist in staging and delivery of materials and products.
  • Palletize product, including assisting in box making and operating the pallet wrapper.
  • Accurately complete paperwork, entering pallet tickets and other data into the computer as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:  Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to very cold; noise; humidity; moving vehicles; slippery floors; possible heavy and repeated lifting.  Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must complete required safety training (Powered Industrial Trucks). Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 8 hours per day. Previous food processing/manufacturing experience a plus. Computer experience in a windows environment a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 10 hours per day. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.    

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
