Harvey Vogel Manufacturing Co. has immediate openings for an experienced Press Brake Set-Up and Operator on 2nd shift.Location: Woodbury (in person)2nd shift: Mon–Thu, 3:15pm–1:45amPay: $24.00–$32.00 per hour; competitive benefits packageKey requirements: 2–3 years press brake setup/operator experience, ability to read prints, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.POSITION PURPOSE: To setup and operate brake press equipment in a safe manner, with focus on customer satisfaction and on time delivery.MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Set-up and operate Cincinnati Brake Press machines using such materials as: stainless steel, cold rolled steel, and aluminum.Set up and run complex bend/forming operations using standard and custom punch/die tooling, and verify first-piece quality before proceeding.Ability to perform math, and measure part dimensions using a variety of instruments such as calipers, protractors, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, etc.Ability to meet production rates.Read prints, inspect parts (including critical dimensions), and complete inspection documentation.Maintain calibrated tools.Ability to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time.Identify areas for process improvement, cost, and waste reduction.Must work in a safe manner following safety procedures.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:2–3 years of experience in brake press set-up and operation.Strong work ethic and good attendance.Must be able to read and interpret drawings, and understand and follow verbal directions.Must adhere to company safety requirements.Proficient in shop math.Detail-oriented.Knowledge of proforma software a plus. Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
