Job description

Brainfuse is a leading provider of online tutoring and educational support, partnering with schools and districts nationwide to help K-12 students succeed. We deliver High Dosage Tutoring, an approach that provides students with frequent, consistent sessions with the same tutor, helping them make measurable academic gains. We're seeking passionate, experienced tutors to deliver instruction in math, ELA, and other subjects.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual or small-group tutoring sessions to K-12 students in math, ELA, and other subjects (e.g., social studies, science, Spanish), focusing on the grades and subjects you are qualified for.
  • Deliver lessons using preassigned plans and our online virtual whiteboard with text, audio, and video tools.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Serve as a primary tutor, substitute, or provide on-demand support.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, English, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching license or certificate (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of math and/or ELA concepts.
  • Reliable computer with high-speed internet, webcam, and microphone for live instruction on our virtual whiteboard.

Schedule:
  • High Dosage Tutoring is most effective when students meet with the same tutor 2-3 times per week.
  • Most sessions take place Monday-Friday during regular school hours (approximately 8:00am-3:00pm ET), with limited after-school opportunities available.
  • Sessions are offered in a variety of fixed, recurring schedules (e.g., Mon/Wed/Fri 9:00-9:40am or Tue/Thu 2:30pm-3:30pm).
  • Tutors may accept multiple sets of sessions and must commit to the full semester once sessions are accepted.

Compensation:
  • Tutors are paid $25 per hour for all subjects.
  • Hours are not guaranteed at the time of hire and depend on tutor availability and program needs.
  • Tutors may build schedules of up to 20 hours per week, depending on availability and program needs.
