Job Description:
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for leading the safe, compliant, and effective day-to-day completion of Receiving, Blending, Packaging, and Shipping operations at the Warminster Plant. The role supports the Operations Manager by translating plans, schedules, and standards into safe execution, disciplined compliance, and strong team performance.
Key Accountabilities
HSSE Leadership & Compliance
  • Demonstrate visible HSSE leadership to achieve No Accidents, No Harm to People, No Damage to the Environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OMS, Control of Work, SOCs, Near Miss reporting, and site HSSE initiatives.
  • Exercise Stop Work authority and ensure hazards are identified, assessed, and controlled.

Safe & Reliable Operations Execution
  • Lead daily execution of production, blending, packaging, receiving, and shipping activities in alignment with the operating plan.
  • Make sure the work is carried out in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, and permits.
  • Act as Area Authority for Operations where assigned, including risk assessments and isolations.

People Leadership & Team Performance
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for hourly operations employees.
  • Build team capability through effective onboarding, training, and use of versatility matrices.
  • Maintain morale, dedication, and accountability while fostering a strong safety and quality culture.

Quality & Compliance
  • Supports Quality Management Systems and certifications through disciplined execution and auditing.
  • Participates in Right First Time (RFT) and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure deviations, non-conformances, and issues are identified, raised, and addressed.

Operational Rigor & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintains housekeeping and workplace organization using 5S principles.
  • Supports continuous improvement, efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Provides operations input into CAPEX, engineering changes, and plant improvement projects.

Coordination & Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure effective daily operations.
  • Initiates and supervises maintenance work orders and operational issues.
  • Ensures Management of Change (MOC) requirements are followed for operational changes.

Incident Response & Continuity
  • Supports site Crisis and Continuity Management activities.
  • Ensure incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions are promptly reported and investigated.

Key challenges faced on the role
  • Ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations in a highly manual manufacturing environment.
  • Balancing production demands with strict HSSE, Quality, and OMS requirements.
  • Leading and motivating experienced teams through focused operational execution.

Qualifications
Required
  • Proven experience leading or supervising manufacturing or operations teams.
  • Strong solid understanding of safe work practices, procedures, and operational rigor.
  • Consistent track record to lead people, run daily priorities, and resolve operational issues.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to HSSE leadership and compliance.
  • Digital literacy including the Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems.

Preferred (not required)
  • Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or fluid-handling manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working within ISO-certified management systems.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement practices.
  • Formal technical education or equivalent operational experience.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and extensive operational experience will be considered.
