As a BP Fuel Tanker Driver, your day typically involves conducting pre-trip inspections, loading fuel at a terminal using adherence to strict safety protocols, and transporting it to customer sites such as gas stations or industrial clients. You’ll need to complete delivery paperwork, monitor fuel levels during loading and unloading, and maintain clear communication with dispatch and site personnel. Drivers often work independently but must coordinate with terminal staff and customers to ensure safe, accurate deliveries. Shifts can vary, including early mornings, nights, or weekends, depending on route assignments. Staying alert, organized, and safety-focused is crucial throughout each shift.
To excel as a BP Fuel Tanker Driver, you need a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker endorsements, a clean driving record, and strong knowledge of safe fuel handling practices.
