Summary:
As a member of the Marketing team, the Entertainment & Special Events Buyer serves as a brand ambassador and is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, booking, promoting, and coordinating entertainment that enhances the guest experience and drives casino visitation. The role oversees entertainment programming throughout the resort, manages Eventbrite ticketing, Facebook Events, and works closely with promoters, Food & Beverage, and internal departments to maximize attendance, guest satisfaction, and return on investment.
Position Functions
Essential Functions:
• Source, negotiate, and book local and regional bands, tribute artists, comedians, cultural performers, DJs, specialty acts, and four-wall events including MMA, and boxing.
• Create, maintain, and implement events within Eventbrite and other approved ticketing platforms, including ticket inventory, pricing, promotional codes, descriptions, and images.
• Monitor ticket sales, provide weekly reporting on sales and provide regular attendance updates.
• Coordinate and create information across Eventbrite, Facebook Events, the resort website, and social media platforms.
• Partner with Marketing to develop advertising, digital marketing, social media campaigns, website content, email marketing, public relations, Players Club promotions, and Player Development initiatives.
• Coordinate artist travel, hospitality, staging, sound, lighting, and production requirements.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership to build entertainment schedules supporting restaurants, lounges, and bars.
• Coordinate events with Hotel, Security, Facilities, Surveillance, Cage, Player Development and Players Club for successful execution.
• Coordinate VIP seating, complimentary tickets, hosted guests, and guest lists.
• Track attendance, ticket sales, gaming lift, hotel occupancy, Food & Beverage revenue, and event ROI.
• Evaluate guest feedback and entertainment performance to improve programming.
• Create & maintain entertainment contracts, calendars, booking history, invoices, production schedules, and event documentation.
• Research entertainment trends and recommend new acts and event concepts.
• Attend events to ensure quality standards and guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
• Knowledge of entertainment booking, talent negotiations, and event production.
• Experience using Eventbrite or similar ticketing platforms.
• Experience creating and maintaining Facebook Events.
• Knowledge of social media event promotions.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to analyze event performance and ROI.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
• 2 years of experience in entertainment booking, event planning, casino marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
• Experience negotiating with artists, promoters, or entertainment vendors.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Hospitality, Business, Communications, or related field.
• Experience in a casino, resort, concert venue, or entertainment venue.
• Experience with Eventbrite or similar ticketing software.
• Experience scheduling live entertainment for restaurants, lounges, bars, or resort venues.
• Established relationships with regional entertainment agencies, bands, and promoters.
