Production Specialist — Pangea Reptile

Starting Rate: $17/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional weekends based on workload)
Reports to: Production Manager
Employment Type: Hourly

Position Overview:

As a Production Specialist, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations. You will assist with the manufacturing, assembly, tagging, boxing, and packaging of our products. This is a hands-on role requiring physical activity, attention to detail, and a strong focus on both safety and quality. The ideal candidate must have an eye for quality and a solid understanding of KPIs and LEAN principles and how they apply to this role. Comfort with power tools, strict adherence to safety procedures, and a willingness to get dirty are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist in the production, assembly, tagging, and boxing of reptile supplies and related products. 
·         Responsible for sorting, organizing and boxing a variety of natural wood products.
·         Operate basic power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
·         Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
·         Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following 5S principles
·         Lift, move, and carry boxes and materials up to 50 lbs
·         Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail and product quality
·         Track progress and support the achievement of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
·         Assist with inventory management and tracking as needed
·         Support the Production Manager and team with additional tasks and projects as business needs dictate 
·         Be flexible to work occasional weekends depending on workload
·         Work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications:

·         Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift throughout the workday
·         Comfortable working in a hands-on, active production environment
·         Willingness to get dirty and work with a variety of materials
·         Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn how to use power tools safely
·         Familiarity with 5S methodology and KPI tracking is a plus
