Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate 1 position assists with all warehouse-related operations under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintenance of the physical condition of the warehouse.
  • Assist with basic functions of binning, sorting and boxing.
  • Assist with receiving, volunteer cleanings and donation processes.
  • Unload vehicles.
  • Ensure all accidents or injuries are reported immediately to the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Associate 3.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of Warehouse Manager related to the fundamental aspects of the Warehouse Associate or related positions.
General Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based personal computers and software systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Possess the proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
  • Are highly reliable and responsible. You have excellent attendance
  • You can work 8 hours daily, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds while keeping your body in constant motion.
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Interest in Books

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to excessive heat, wet, and/or humid outside conditions. Due to working in an office, warehouse, and/or school setting, the noise level in the environment is moderate to high at times.

In addition, the following conditions will be required:

  • Typical warehouse/delivery truck setting, diverse surroundings with unpredictable environments like uneven surfaces.
