How much money can you make on a box truck?

Box truck drivers typically earn between $40,000 and $70,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and the type of freight they transport. Drivers with commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) and specialized skills may earn higher wages, and some may receive additional pay for overtime or long-haul routes.

Is driving a box truck profitable?

Driving a box truck can be profitable depending on factors such as experience, route, and load volume. Earnings typically include hourly wages or per-mile pay, with additional income possible through tips or bonuses, but expenses like fuel, maintenance, and insurance reduce net profit. Successful drivers often need commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) and good driving records to maximize earnings.
