Eco Spot is proud to collect about 10 million lbs. annually that are recycled by its parent company – Mid-West Textile, LLC in El Paso, TX along with our Thrift Town Store to service our customers.

JOB SUMMARY:

Eco-Spot is seeking a dependable and community-driven Box Truck Driver ($2,000 Sign-On Bonus*) to support our donation collection efforts. This role is responsible for collecting gently used items from residential donors, servicing donation bins across the region, and representing Eco-Spot at community events. Our drivers play a key role in our mission to promote sustainability and support brand initiatives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate a 16–26 ft box truck along assigned collection routes.
  • Perform scheduled pickups from homes, donation bins, and partner businesses.
  • Use company-provided route optimization software to follow efficient pickup routes and adjust as needed in real time.
  • Load and unload donations carefully to prevent damage and maximize space.
  • Transfer and properly stack items from the box truck into a 53’ trailer at designated locations.
  • Accurately log collections and report issues using mobile technology or paper logs.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Keep vehicle interior and cargo area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Provide respectful, helpful customer service when interacting with donors and community members.
  • Assist with setup, staffing, and takedown of Eco-Spot booths at public donation events.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and route optimization software (training provided).
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings for events.
